Some drivers are salaried employees of Namaste India Tours; others are independent contractors hand selected by us. All maintain appropriate insurance on their cars. You can ask to see proof of insurance. The name "Namaste India Tours" is registered with the government under the Indian Registration Act of 1908. No kidding. We haven't raised our prices significantly--the rupee is weaker than it was four years ago. You agree not to hold us responsible for the condition of the roads in India. If you insist on staying in a 500 rupee room, you can't complain if it smells bad. We pride ourselves on our customer service. In the unlikely event that you have a problem with a driver, phone us at the earliest possible moment. We are not responsible for the weather. Monument prices change. Delays are inevitable. Diesel vehicles are no longer allowed in Delhi. Our vehicles aren't diesel. We don't post our phone number on this website on purpose. Our lawyer doesn't think this paragraph is funny.

I also used Namaste India Tours and was completely satisfied. My friend and I did the Rajasthan Legacy tour in the Innova Dec. 25 - Jan. 9. Especially for two women traveling in India, this was an excellent solution. Our driver, Prem, was superb. He was an excellent driver - under very challenging conditions - and also helpful and informative. He had a smile for us every morning and throughout the day. Whenever he dropped us at the attractions, he watched for us to come out and was always there and ready to move on when we were. ..The trip was exactly as described on the web site (http://www.namasteindiatours.com) no surprises, no omissions. All logistics are handled by Namaste India Tours. Our hotels were all comfortable and extremely clean. Read the web site thoroughly; it explains exactly what they do and why. Yes, you pay the entire fee on day 2 before you leave Delhi, but this is the first payment you make - no early deposit. (You also pay the driver 10% at the end, exactly as described on the website.) The owner met with us in Delhi to review our itinerary and accept the fee, exactly as agreed. He also checked in by phone several times during our trip to make sure that we were satisfied with all the arrangements. I recommend Namaste India tours without reservation and I believe it is by far the best way to travel in northern India. I also would ask for our driver, Prem. He is a gem."

"We have just returned from a most amazing trip through Rajasthan...We were picked up at the airport by our very proficient and pleasant driver/guide, Manesh, who stayed with us every day and returned us safely to the airport 13 days later. Our air-conditioned minivan was comfortable for two adults and two tall adult children. The roads were chaotic, with pedestrians,camels, scooters, and huge trucks vying for space, but I never once felt uncomfortable due to the professionalism of our driver. Jawahar came through on each of his promises: our hotels were clean and comfortable, he checked in with us almost daily by cell phone; he even once changed our hotel at our request, and even though he would not geta refund, refused to allow us to contribute to his loss. We selected namasteindiatours.com after seeing dozens of rave reviews on indiamike.com. They totally came through; they were reasonable, efficient, and totally service-oriented. Greetings from chilly England

I thought I'd just write to say how very much we enjoyed our tour with you. We had a great time once we became acclimatised to the Indian style of driving! Our driver, Raju Singh, was great company and a very patient driver (thank goodness) and we loved his infectious laugh and constant good humour.

He couldn't do enough to help and is a credit to your company. At one point I noticed that the stitching on one of our suitcases was coming undone and Raju found a tailor sitting on the roadside in downtown Delhi who not only re-stitched it whilst we waited but also did some other repairs for us. Whilst he was working an Indian approached him and I gathered from his gestures that he had a problem with the zip on his trousers. Next thing was he'd taken his trousers off and waited patiently for our job to be finished before the tailor sorted him out. All this in broad daylight with thousands of people and cars going by. The total cost for this amazing show was 35 rupees! Only in India!

We returned from our first trip to India (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Mumbai) on Monday, and I am writing to thank you for the huge role that Namaste India Tours (NIT) played in making our trip a huge success and an experience that we will always remember and cherish. Your services were excellent, and we are so glad that we chose you.
And now for some individual thanks:

Ms. LuAnn was extremely patient, pleasant and helpful – right from my first email inquiring about NIT's services. Thank you for always providing me with prompt, honest and direct answers to my questions.

Mr. Jawahar was very kind to us when we met in Delhi, and he did his best to help when my friend had an unfortunate incident with her visa (she did not check it properly when it was issued, and it expired during our trip).

… HUGE thanks go to the wonderful Mr. Sanjay Kumar, our driver for the duration of our tour of the Golden Circuit. Mr. Sanjay is such a gem, and NIT is very fortunate to have him. He was extremely patient and kind to us, and was full of useful advice and interesting/humorous anecdotes and information on a variety of subjects. He was always concerned about our comfort, and amenable to all our requests, always taking care to ensure that we were happy. He was always ready to move when we were he was consistently early for all our appointments and drives. He is clearly a very competent and experienced driver, and handled the car with great finesse even on dangerous stretches of road.

Mr. Sanjay was so caring and sweet, and treated us like his younger sisters – when my friend had the problem with her visa, although he had just returned from what must have been a totally exhausting trip for him, he did not grumble or quibble when Mr. Jawahar asked him to stay with us and help us. He drove us to the Nigerian embassy after midnight without a word of complaint, helped us to speak with the guards stationed there, and constantly reassured my friend (who by this time was quite upset) of his willingness to assist in any way possible. He went over and above the call of duty. Even after our Golden Circuit tour was over and we were no longer in any way his responsibility, he called us to make sure we were okay and that we arrived safely in Mumbai without any hitches. Who could ask for more? As I said earlier, he is a gem.

….. Our white Ambassador car was lovely, always sparkling and beautiful with no problems of any sort along the way, and we felt a bit like maharanis sitting pretty in it thank you! As promised, NIT gave us some lovely complimentary services the elephant ride at Amber Fort and the visit to Chokhi Dhanni (we loved it). And all the taxes, fees etc for our road journeys were taken care of by NIT, as promised. Thanks for doing exactly what you said on the box!

I hope to use your services again in the future, and I would be glad to recommend your company (in glowing terms) to anyone else whom you may wish to direct to me for a reference (you may use my email address for this purpose). Thanks again to all of you, bahut bahut shukriya, for helping us have a wonderful and unforgettable time in the Golden Circuit.
