Arrival Day: You'll be met by your Namaste India Tours English speaking driver at the exit of the arrivals hall and taken to your hotel. He'll get you settled in your room and agree on a meeting time for tomorrow's City Tour of Delhi. (Park View, Singh Continental, Sarthak Palace or similar, all in Karol Bagh) Breakfasts are included throughout your trip.
Day 2. Full day City Tour of Delhi. Evening movie at air-conditioned Plaza or Regal Cinemas.
Day 3. To Kalka by AC car. (Hotel Shiwalik-HPTDC)
Day 4. Famous Toy Train to Shimla departs 5:30 am. Driver drops you at station in Kalka and meets you at the other end at the station in Shimla at 10:15 a.m. Transfer to hotel. Stroll Mall Road and the bazaars. Be sure to visit the Indian Coffee House. (Hotel Auckland or The Oak on the mall or Hotel Holiday Home)
Day 5. Around Shimla. Kufari horse ride to Mahasu Peak, Hanuman Temple, Kali Mata Mandir.
Day 6. To Mandi. Sightseeing might include the magnificaent Beas River, ancient Shiva temples and Tarna Mata Mandir at the top of Mandi for exceptional views. (Raj Mahal Palace Heritage Hotel, Hotel Mandav Himachal Toursim or Hotel Visco Resort.) If you can add two days, add a simply unforgettable stay in the village of Neri. Click here for that trip.
Day 7. To Manali via Hanogi Mata temple with swinging bridge, Kullu Valley. (Hotel Holiday Home, Hotel John Banon's or Hotel Kunzum Himachal Tourism)
Day 8. Side trip to Rohtang Pass 50km. from Manali, 4000 meters high. On return see Hadimba Temple and Old Manali including Manu Temple.
Day 9. To Manikaran. Visit hot springs. (Hotel Tourist Inn Himachal Tourism or Hotel Kasol)
Day 10. To Dharamsala via Joginder Nagar and Baijnath (famous Shiva Temple). Visit Camunda Devi (famous Durga temple). Night in McLeod Ganj (upper Dharamsala) (Hotel Bhagsu or Kashmir House-both HPTDC, or Tibet House)

Day 11. Around Dharamsala and McLeod Ganj (Tibetan Monastery and the Dalai Lama residency) View of the Dhouladaar Himalyan range.
Day 12. To Amritsar. (Hotel CJ International or Amritsar International)
Day 13. Around Amritsar (Golden Temple, Jalianwala Bagh, Durgiana Temple) Side trip to Wagha Border at sunset.
Day 14. To Delhi by Shatabadi Express train. (Driver released) Namaste India Tours meets client at New Delhi Station and transfers to hotel. (Hotel as night 1)
Day 15. Around Delhi, transfer to airport or train station for departure

Meals and entrance fees to attractions (except where noted) are not included in package price.

Your driver can help with restaurant selections. A good Indian meal can be had for around $8.00. You would be hard pressed to spend more than $10 per person at the fanciest restaurant, except maybe a five star hotel. Alcohol is available in all cities enroute.

Need some guidance on how much to tip your driver for his 15 days of continual service? A typical tip is between Rs 700 and Rs 1000 per day, paid directly to the driver at the end of your trip.

*US $1,649 per couple based on double occupancy using 65 rupees per USD. The exchange rate fluctuates and we use whatever exchange rate is current the day you pay us.This is a package price. We don't discount or bargain on the prices of our services. You'll have plenty of other opportunites to bargain in India if you're in to that sort of thing.
